Composition Chlorhexidine gluconate 30 g/L.

Actions Antiseptic. Chlorhexidine has a broad spectrum of antibacterial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.

Pyohex Medicated Conditioner is an antiseptic, leave on conditioner designed to be used in conjunction with Pyohex Medicated Shampoo, or other appropriate product, to kill Staphylococcus intermedius, a microorganism which can be the primary or secondary cause of superficial dermatitis.

Pyohex Medicated Conditioner prolongs the antibacterial action of chlorhexidine containing shampoos such as Pyohex Medicated Shampoo.

The frequency of washing may be reduced, as directed by the veterinarian.
Indications A topical antibacterial leave on conditioner for use after washing as an aid in the treatment and the prevention of recurrence of superficial dermatitis associated with infections by S. intermedius in dogs.

Precautions Safety directions Will irritate the eyes and skin. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. When using the product wear rubber gloves. Wash hands after use.

First Aid If poisoning occurs, contact a doctor or Poisons Information Centre. Phone Australia 131 126. If swallowed do not induce vomiting. Give a glass of water. If product in eyes, wash out immediately with water.

Disposal Dispose of empty container by wrapping with paper and putting in garbage.

Directions for Use Antibiotic therapy is recommended for the initial control of infection or where deep pyoderma exists.

Wash dog with Pyohex Medicated Shampoo or other appropriate product and rinse thoroughly. Place a small amount of Pyohex Medicated Conditioner into the palm of the hand, spread evenly over both hands, then gently massage into the coat. Use approximately 1 mL for every kg weight of the dog.

Do not rinse after application. Pyohex Medicated Conditioner can be used on haired and nonhaired skin.
